Scheduled Events

2026 Championship at Windance Golf Club

The 2026 Bayou Bogey Championship tournament will be held Friday and Saturday, October 2nd and 3rd at Windance Golf Club in Gulfport, MS. There will be shotgun starts at 9:00 AM on Friday and 9:30 AM on Saturday. Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before tee time each day to warm up and load the carts.

The RSVP deadline is Wednesday, September 23rd.

The fee for the championship will be $250 payable to Bayou Bogey and will include your greens fee, cart fee, prize fee, lunch each day at the course and the pairings party for you and a guest. Fees for all other side games are separate as those are "optional" participation events.

When you register for the tournament, please let us know the following:

1. Will you be attending the Pairings Party on September 26th?
2. If you are attending the Pairings Party, will you be bringing a guest?
3. Are you in possession of an Island View Casino Insider Card? If so, could you please provide us with the number of your card?
• The club is giving us a discounted rate for golf provided we can give them enough valid card numbers. Each card can be used twice so we are trying to get numbers for at least half of the total number of participants in the championship.
4. Are you getting in any of the pools (Calcutta, Buy-a-Bud, birdie, par, bogey)? If so, which one(s)?

The Pairings Party will be held Saturday, September 26th at 2:00 PM at Kenny & Debby Duhe's house located at 74342 Military Road in Covington, LA. Please indicate whether or not you will be attending the pairings party when you RSVP. If you are attending the pairings party and intend to bring a guest, please note that when you RSVP. Please respond as early as possible so that we can prepare by purchasing food and drinks well ahead of time.

Once again for the pairings party we will have grilled appetizers, steak & shrimp, as well as an assortment of other fine food and plenty of beer. If you want hard liquor, etc., it's BYOL.

Side Games

Calcutta

The Calcutta will be organized by Dannie Lacrouts and Richie Chaix for 2026. Here's the format:

1. Day 1 - You can buy yourself for $100. If you don't put up $100, your name is in the pool to be auctioned. The bid will start at $100. If you are purchased for $100 or above, you will be eligible to win 10% of the winnings for whichever place you finish in the top 3. If you don't put up $100 and nobody purchases you at auction, you aren't eligible to win any money. If you purchase yourself and place in the top 3, you get all of the winnings for which position you finish in the top 3.
2. Day 2 - We can use the same format as day 1 or we can lower the entry to $50. A vote will be taken at the pairings party to make this decision.
3. There will be 2 flights in the Calcutta, matching the Championship tournament flights. Flights will be determined based upon the number of players and who plays. (Typically, we try to divide the flights by handicap to an equal number of players in each flight.) Flights will be determined by the pairings party so you'll know who is in each flight before the auction.

Buy-A-Bud

Kent Ural will be running the Buy-A-Bud game. Here's the format:

1. You and a partner pay $20 each to play as a team.
2. First, second, and third place are paid for low net for each team.
3. You can partner with as many buds as you'd like, as long as you are part of the team.
4. The game is played each day.

Birdie/Par/Bogey Pools

Tom Grieshaber will be running the birdie/par/bogey pools. Here's the format:

1. There are three separate pools for the total number of birdies, pars, or bogeys recorded in the two days of the championship.
2. The cost of entry is $20 per man per pool.
3. You can enter one, two, or all three pools.
4. Only first place is paid in each pool.
5. If there is a tie for first place, the prize money is split equally among the winners.
